Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police are investigating the assault and attempted robbery.

Surveillance video of three suspects who are wanted for an attempted armed robbery and assault was released by the police on Friday as they attempt to identify and locate the men involved in the incident.

According to police, on Sunday, May 12, a minor got out of the bus in the area of Georgia Avenue and Connecticut Avenue in Wheaton, where he was followed by three Black men armed with knives.

The three allegedly demanded the victim's property, but when the victim told them he did not speak English, they assaulted him, though they obtained none of his property.

Video of the suspects was released by the Montgomery County Department of Police on Friday, May 24.

The incident remains under investigation.
